◆ With the aim of improving the security of passengers travelling by Indian Railways, RPF has launched a Pan-India Operation under the code name “Operation Yatri Suraksha”.

भारतीय रेलवे द्वारा यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों की सुरक्षा में सुधार के उद्देश्य से, आरपीएफ ने “ऑपरेशन यात्री सुरक्षा” कोड नाम के तहत एक अखिल भारतीय ऑपरेशन शुरू किया है।

ऑपरेशन के बारे में

◆ As part of this initiative, several steps are being taken to provide foolproof security to passengers i.e. Train Escorting, visible presence on stations, Surveillance through CCTV, Surveillance on active criminals, collection of intelligence about the criminals and action thereupon, identifying black spots and  crime prone trains/sections and enhancing security thereat among others to formulate an actionable strategy to reduce crime against passengers.

इस पहल के हिस्से के रूप में, यात्रियों को फुलप्रूफ सुरक्षा प्रदान करने के लिए कई कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं जैसे ट्रेन एस्कॉर्टिंग, स्टेशनों पर दृश्य उपस्थिति, सीसीटीवी के माध्यम से निगरानी, सक्रिय अपराधियों पर निगरानी, अपराधियों के बारे में खुफिया जानकारी एकत्र करना और उस पर कार्रवाई, ब्लैक स्पॉट और अपराध की पहचान करना। यात्रियों के खिलाफ अपराध को कम करने के लिए एक कार्रवाई योग्य रणनीति तैयार करने के लिए संभावित ट्रेनों/सेक्शनों और अन्य के साथ–साथ वहां सुरक्षा बढ़ाना।

◆ Regular coordination is being made with all the stake holders and joint action is planned to improve passenger security regularly.

सभी हितधारकों के साथ नियमित समन्वय किया जा रहा है और नियमित रूप से यात्री सुरक्षा में सुधार के लिए संयुक्त कार्रवाई की योजना बनाई गई है।

Significance 

महत्व

◆ During the drive, 365 suspects were nabbed by RPF personnel and were handed over to the concerned GRPs for legal action based on which 322 cases of Passenger Crime i.e. theft of Passenger Belongings, Drugging, Robbery, Chain Snatching etc. were detected. 

अभियान के दौरान, 365 संदिग्धों को आरपीएफ कर्मियों द्वारा पकड़ा गया और कानूनी कार्रवाई के लिए संबंधित जीआरपी को सौंप दिया गया, जिसके आधार पर यात्री अपराध यानी यात्री सामान की चोरी, ड्रगिंग, डकैती, चेन स्नैचिंग आदि के 322 मामलों का पता चला।

◆ Stolen property of passengers worth more than Rs. 1 Crore was recovered either from the possession of these criminals or in course of investigation of these offences.

यात्रियों की एक लाख रुपये से अधिक की संपत्ति की चोरी इन अपराधियों के कब्जे से या इन अपराधों की जांच के दौरान एक करोड़ रुपये वसूल किए गए।
