Doppler Weather Radar

Recently on the occasion of the 148th Foundation Day of India, the Meteorological Department (IMD) Union Minister of Earth science said the entire Country will be covered by Doppler Weather Radar Network by 2025 (हाल ही में भारत के 148वें स्थापना दिवस के अवसर पर, मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (IMD) के केंद्रीय पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्री ने कहा कि 2025 तक पूरा देश डॉपलर वेदर रडार नेटवर्क से कवर हो जाएगा।)

• The Union Minister dedicated 4 Doppler Weather Radar Systems to the Western Himalayan States of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. He also dedicated 200 Agro Automated Weather Stations to the Nation (केंद्रीय मंत्री ने जम्मू और कश्मीर, उत्तराखंड और हिमाचल प्रदेश के पश्चिमी हिमालयी राज्यों को 4 डॉप्लर मौसम रडार सिस्टम समर्पित किए। उन्होंने 200 एग्रो ऑटोमेटेड वेदर स्टेशन भी राष्ट्र को समर्पित किए)

How does Radar work (रडार कैसे काम करता है) ?

• Radars is a beam of energy, called radio waves, emitted from an antenna. As they strike objects in the atmosphere, the energy is scattered in all directions with some of the energy reflected directly back to the radar ( रडार ऊर्जा का एक पुंज होता है, जिसे रेडियो तरंगें कहा जाता है, जो एंटेना से उत्सर्जित होता है। जैसे ही वे वायुमंडल में वस्तुओं पर प्रहार करते हैं, ऊर्जा सभी दिशाओं में बिखर जाती है, जिसमें से कुछ ऊर्जा सीधे रडार पर वापस परावर्तित हो जाती है)

What is Doppler Radar (डॉपलर राडार क्या है) ?

• A Doppler radar is a specialized radar that uses the Doppler effect to produce velocity data about objects at a distance (डॉप्लर रडार एक विशेष राडार है जो डॉपलर प्रभाव का उपयोग किसी दूरी पर वस्तुओं के बारे में वेग डेटा उत्पन्न करने के लिए करता है)

   What is Doppler Effect (डॉपलर प्रभाव क्या है) ?

• It was first described (1842) by Austrian physicist Christian Doppler ( यह पहली बार (1842) ऑस्ट्रियाई भौतिक विज्ञानी क्रिश्चियन डॉपलर द्वारा वर्णित किया गया था)
